The 9th Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum Has Begun

The 2025 Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum opened today at ICC Tainan, starting a three-day event. It attracted numerous agriculture professionals, showcasing their significant interest in agricultural transformation. This year’s exhibition focuses on smart technology, sustainability, and automation. It brings together new tools and solutions from Taiwan and abroad. Displays include smart systems for climate control and energy saving, modern farm machines, precision monitoring, plant factories, and circular farming. These show the future direction and practical use of new farming methods.

Several forums are being held to talk about key topics in farming, fishing, and livestock. One important event, the "Seminar on Key Technologies in Smart Agriculture," focuses on four main topics: building smart farming systems, developing green and smart greenhouses, new types of greenhouse materials, and better ways to protect crops. These sessions look at how climate change affects farming and share helpful ideas to solve these problems, giving great value to all participants.

Known-You Seed showcased several special vegetable and fruit varieties with strong market potential. These included the horn-shaped sweet peppers “Hunter” and “2888”, which are popular for their bright color and crisp taste. Another variety, the “10289” melon, has dark green skin and the bottom doesn’t crack easily. The main highlight was the new seedless black watermelon “4052”. It has smooth, dark skin, a round and even shape, and a deep background color with no stripes. Its flesh is crisp and firm, with very few defective seeds. It grows well in both spring and fall and brings a new option to the seedless watermelon market.
