Purple Jean
This variety is a purple colored glutinous corn.
The plant is sturdy, tolerant to heat, coolness
and damping-off. It is about 150-170 cm in
height, and can be harvested 70 days after
sowing in summer and 100 days after sowing
in winter. The kernels are ready for harvest
when they turn to purple color. Each ear
(excluding leaves) weighs about 230-250 g.
